Dr. Allison Dozeman

My practice is focused on the full spectrum of foot and ankle surgery. My special interests include reconstructive surgery and deformity correction (post-trauma, bunions, flatfeet, high-arched feet), sports medicine (arthroscopy, simple and advanced tendon and ligament repair), bone infection, and revision foot and ankle surgery.

I am board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. I am one of the only physicians in the Lakeshore area who is board certified in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. I am a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. I have been in practice in Holland since 2016 and offer appointments at our Holland South and South Haven locations.

I was born and spent my childhood years in Grand Rapids, MI. My family moved to central Illinois during my junior high and high school years. I graduated from Wheaton College (IL) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Spanish. During my college years, I was a member of the Women’s basketball and soccer teams. I earned a doctor of podiatric medicine from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. I attended my top choice surgical residency program at Legacy Health/Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon where I was fortunate to learn from some of the most respected minds and leaders in foot and ankle surgery in the country. I spent my three-year residency training in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with a focus on Trauma and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.

My husband, Joel, and I live in Holland and have two children. We enjoy having an active lifestyle and love to spend time outdoors. I especially enjoy camping, hiking, cross country skiing, snowboarding and triathlons.
